Support Singing City

Annual Friends Drive 2018-19

Welcome to Singing City’s 71st season! While each season may bring its challenges, we have the music to help us meet them. Singing City Choir brings us another year filled with music that is eclectic, inspired, soul searching, and simply beautiful.

The Singing City Children’s Choir, led by Emily Sung, is in two schools: James Rhoads Elementary in West Philadelphia and Wissahickon Charter in Germantown.  We are also thrilled to be tell you about T-VOCE (Teen Voices of the City Ensemble), a choir for youth ages 13-19 that is open to any student who wants to sing—no audition required! This program is a collaboration between Opera Philadelphia, Singing City, Art Sanctuary and Play On, Philly!
T-VOCE rehearses every Saturday and has a full schedule of performances throughout the season.

Thanks to the generosity of individuals like you, we are expanding our schedule of community and outreach performances. Singer Cody Müller is heading up this effort, taking small groups of singers into every corner of the city. In addition to concerts in homeless shelters, hospitals and other care facilities, we are partnering with the Free Library of Philadelphia to offer community concerts in library branches across the city.

There are many wonderful new initiatives underway at Singing City. The work of this great choir is funded through grants, ticket sales and through your donation to the annual Friends Drive. I hope you will join us in supporting Singing City's work and its contributions to the cultural life of Philadelphia and beyond. Every donation we receive is important and your gift is tax-deductible. Thank you to everyone who contributed to our campaign for 2017-18!
